Creative Encounters at the Big Thinking Summit

Last month, we brought our project to the Big Thinking Summit in Edmonton with a workshop that delved into our creative practices, creating a dialogue between ones that are more traditionally imbued in an academic institution (such as writing and teaching) and other practices that don’t (such as playing music or video game development).
Our participants ranged from undergraduate students through to faculty, all working across the social sciences. We created tangible artifacts made from assorted dollar-store materials that represented our creative identities.
This was an opportunity to work through some ideas and methods we’ll integrate as the project moves forward. More updates to come!
